SIGN eV is proud to announce that one of its founders and SIGN eV head of humanities, Professor Chiara Franceschini, has been appointed as a member of the Scientific Council of the Italian National Research Council (CNR). The CNR Scientific Council is a statutory body with advisory and strategic functions related to the long term vision and planning of the organisation. It is composed of ten highly qualified members, representative of the main research macro areas, and serves a four year term. The appointment was formalised by Decree of the President of the CNR No. 16 of 30 January 2026, following Resolution of the Board of Directors No. 2 of 23 January 2026. Professor Franceschini’s appointment recognises her scientific profile and her contribution to the research community, and further strengthens the presence of high level expertise promoted by SIGN eV within strategic institutional contexts.
