Marina Foschi is a full professor of German Linguistics and Translation at the University of Pisa and president of the Associazione Italiana Alexander von Humboldt. She earned her PhD in German Language and Literature from the University of Maryland and is recognized for her research in German-Italian contrastive linguistics, stylistics, genre studies, grammar, and verbal humor. Foschi has held leadership roles within the Alexander von Humboldt community, including board member, secretary general, and now president, representing an interdisciplinary network of scholars in Italy. As a Humboldt Research Fellow and Ambassador Scientist, she has advanced academic exchange and collaboration between Italy and Germany, contributing significantly to the study of German language and translation.
