Professor Luca Stella is an economist based in Berlin and Milan. He is Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Milan and a Lecturer at Freie Universität Berlin, with additional affiliations at IZA, CESifo and Berlin School of Economics. His research sits at the intersection of labor economics, demography, migration and health economics, with a strong focus on how technological change such as digitalization, robotization and AI affects workers, families and firms. His work has appeared in leading peer reviewed journals including Journal of Human Resources, Demography, European Economic Review and Economic Policy. He is the Principal Investigator in the Horizon Europe project PIPEON examining the socioeconomic impacts of robots and artificial intelligence on workers' well-being, health, and employment.
