Isabella Gallino is Professor and Head of the Chair of Metallic Materials at Technische Universität Berlin. Her research focuses on physical metallurgy, metallic glasses, thermodynamic and kinetic properties of bulk metallic glass forming alloys, advanced calorimetry, reactive metallic multilayers, additive manufacturing of soft magnetic metallic glasses, and inert anodes for CO2-free primary aluminium production. She received a Laurea in Chemistry from the University of Turin, a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Oregon State University, and a Habilitation in Physical Metallurgy from Saarland University. She previously worked at Saarland University and Oregon State University.
