Hadra Sioux Banks Machado is a PhD student in Biophysics at the University of Tübingen. Her research focuses on the mechanisms of protein crystallization and adsorption, particularly the role of interfaces, which is studied using techniques such as quartz microbalance (QCM-D), optical microscopy, confocal imaging, and grazing-incidence small-angle X-ray scattering (GISAXS). She co-authored a 2024 study on albumin crystallization and a 2025 investigation into the effects of deuterium oxide. She aims to combine quantitative biophysical experimentation with translational insights in biomolecular assembly. Besides her academic work, she is known in the skincare community as a science communicator.
