Giuseppe Sanseverino is a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Lecturer at the Professorship of Humans and Technology at Chemnitz University of Technology, where he completed his PhD in Mechanical Engineering in August 2024. Since July 2024, he also manages the Virtual Environment Learning Lab at TU Chemnitz. From 2020 to 2024, he was a Research Associate at the Department of Sports Equipment and Technology and a member of the DFG-funded Collaborative Research Center “Hybrid Societies.” He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II and joined TU Chemnitz in 2019 through the Erasmus Traineeship program. In 2021, he was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Fraunhofer Joint Lab IDEAS in Naples. His research focuses on human movement analysis, wearable sensors, and psychophysiological measurements for evaluating Human-Computer Interfaces. His PhD work included the development of Body-Attached Sensor Networks for gesture recognition and a virtual testing framework for IMU-based systems using multibody modeling and machine learning. He has also conducted studies in sports engineering on cycling performance and hand-arm vibration. He actively contributes to academic publishing and peer review, including roles with *Frontiers in Sports and Active Living*, *Sports Engineering*, and the *International Journal on Interactive Design and Manufacturing*. He is a member of the International Sports Engineering Association and the Associazione Nazionale Disegno e Metodi dell’Ingegneria Industriale. His roles include Task Team Member in the EU-funded Across Alliance, Finance and Local Chair of the Mensch und Computer 2025 Conference, Chair of the ISEA Outreach Committee, and Executive Committee Member of ISEA. He was also PhD Student Representative on the Executive Board of the CRC Hybrid Societies. His awards include Best Paper at the 1st International Conference on Hybrid Societies, 1st Prize “Premio ADM” for his Master's thesis, and 3rd Prize in the ISEA Student Project Competition.
