Dr. Giulia Mantovani is a Research Associate at the Chair of Romance Linguistics, French and Italian, at TU Dresden. Her research focuses on Italian linguistics, historical language discourse, eighteenth-century Spectator periodicals, metalinguistic topoi, translation, and linguistic features of AI-generated Italian texts. She earned her doctorate in the Augsburg-Trento program “Forms of Cultural Exchange” with summa cum laude and Doctor Europaeus distinction. Her current work is linked to the DFG project Generate-IT, which studies LLM-generated texts in Italian. She has received dissertation awards from the Università per Stranieri di Siena and the University of Trento.
