The Center for Italian Study (CSI) at TU Dresden is an academic institution within the Faculty of Linguistics, Literature and Cultural Studies. Its mission is to promote research, teaching, and cultural exchange with a focus on Italy. The center fosters cooperation between TU Dresden and Italian universities, research institutes, and cultural organizations, strengthening international dialogue in the humanities and social sciences. Anna‑Maria De Cesare (Greenwald) is Professor of Romance Linguistics (French and Italian) at TU Dresden, holding the chair since 2021. Her expertise spans syntax, semantics, corpus linguistics, contrastive linguistics, and text-linguistic analysis within Romance languages. She coordinates research on automated text generation and inclusivity in language, leading initiatives such as the AI-ROM conference series and the ‘BotTalks’ podcast on linguistic dissemination. Her contributions extend to interdisciplinary networks, curriculum development, and the promotion of gender equity and international academic exchange. As Director of the Centro di Studi Italiani and Deputy Director of the Institute of Romance Studies, she combines leadership, scholarship, and public outreach to enrich linguistic research and cultural understanding.
